Gentle Bodywork for Nervous System Regulation

Cranial Sacral Therapy, trauma-informed massage, and somatic bodywork supporting pain relief, concussion and ABI recovery, and deep nervous system calming.

Bodywork at Joy Therapy is gentle, attentive, and grounded in how the nervous system responds to stress, injury, and trauma. Rather than forcing change, this work listens carefully to the body and supports its natural capacity to settle, reorganize, and heal.

Sessions are respectful, trauma-informed, and paced to meet you where you are — whether you’re seeking relief from pain, support after concussion or ABI, or simply a deeper sense of ease in your body.

This work may support you if you’re…

  • Recovering from concussion or acquired brain injury (ABI)

  • Living with chronic pain, headaches, or persistent tension

  • Experiencing nervous system dysregulation (anxiety, overwhelm, difficulty settling)

  • Healing from trauma or prolonged stress held in the body

  • Seeking gentle, respectful care that works with your system rather than against it

What a session feels like

Sessions are gentle, quiet, and guided by careful listening rather than force. Using principles from cranial sacral therapy, anatomy, and somatic awareness, I attune to subtle rhythms, patterns of tension, and emotional holding within your body.

Rather than manipulating tissue, the work follows the body’s cues — supporting areas that feel compressed, guarded, or fatigued to soften and reorganize in their own time. Many people experience a sense of deep settling, clarity, and internal spaciousness, sometimes immediately and sometimes unfolding gradually after each session.
